Team entry guideline
We’d prefer teams to enter with 4 players, but we’ll accept entries of 1, 2 or 3 players and add you to others to keep the teams balanced. If you aren’t sure which section to enter, list your players and the WP league they play (or have played), and we’ll slot you in with teams of similar strength. Ladies, men and masters are all mixed in, so ladies, please list the level you play on the entry.
Add up your players’ league numbers to get your team’s value.
Section A: 15 points minimum
Players who play mainly in the men’s Tuesday leagues, spread evenly. For example: a 2nd-league player, two 4th-league players and a 5th-league player: 2 + 4 + 4 + 5 = 15.
Section B: 40 points minimum
Players who play mainly in the men’s Wednesday leagues. For example: an 8th-league player, two 10th-league players and a 12th-league player: 8 + 10 + 10 + 12 = 40.
Section C: 60 points minimum
Players who play mainly in the men’s Thursday leagues, plus social players. For example: a 14th-league player, two 15th-league players and a social player (counted as 16th league): 14 + 15 + 15 + 16 = 60.
Section D: ladies lower league, Devalon league and social
Players from our internal Devalon social league and ladies playing lower league for their clubs. Other clubs are welcome. As a guide, the number 1s are ladies 4th-league level, the 2s are ladies 5th-league level, and the 3s and 4s are non-league and social.
Note: in sections A, B and C you can include a player from a higher section, for example an A-section player in a B-section team. Just balance the team with lower-league players to keep the total close to the section value.
